Stackers Burger Cafe: Healthy Delicious Baked Fried Chicken and More (Eastwood City Walk)
Eastwood information center, Orchard Road, Quezon City, Philippines
Since Eastwood City is very far from home, the family makes it to a point to make a very wise and selective dining choice when we do. We've always been epicurious to try Stacker's Burger Cafe and so there we dined.
Stackers Burger Cafe in Eastwood City Walk 1 is open 24/7. While we were dining, we can't help but notice how busy the place was with so many diners rushing in. Good thing it has a spacious area with dining options inside or al fresco. They also offer FREE WiFi. =)
Food
I discovered that Stackers is not the usual burger joint. It has a very comprehensive menu. You can visit it even if you don't feel like having burgers and leave equally or even exceeding satisfied.
Soups & Salads
Since I'm a very balanced eater who happens to love salads, I tried the Chicken Tenders Salads. The Chicken Tenders Salad comes with shredded lettuce, cabbage and carrots topped with chunky and crispy chicken strips and drizzled with nutty and zesty oriental dressing. The oriental dressing is one of the best dressings I've tried! It has a dominant mango flavor with sesame essence.
Premium Burgers
For their burgers, you can opt for single or double stack of their 100% certified pure Australian Angus beef patty.
The Jack Burger is their best-selling burger. It has crispy bacon strips, sauteed mushroom, melted Monterrey jack cheese and Swiss cheese, lettuce, quarter pound Angus beef patty and tangy ranch dressing.
My brother had the All American Loft Burger which has american cheese, Monterrey jack cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, quarter pound Angus beef patty and honey mustard sauce.
My little sister who is such a picky eater had the Pepper Crunch Burger (195 php/Single) and really loved it! I'll try that on my next visit.
Of course, I didn't intend to leave Stackers without conquering The Penthouse! It's basically three stacks of the double Angus beef patty All American Loft Burger. But, without the top brioche bun for the latter two stacks.
To be honest, this reminded me of my encounter with Zark's Jawbreaker Burger which I gave up on after having only 3/4 of it. The torment of that experience made me feel intimidated with The Penthouse. But, as soon as I got to try the first layer of The Penthouse, I knew I could finish it. I swear Stackers had the best brioche burger buns ever! It's so light, soft, moist, tasty and chewy that you'd want to have some more. The double Angus beef patty was so tender and juicy with natural bold beefy flavors. It's not overly seasoned or marinated so you get to appreciate the quality of the meat. The caramelized onions, fresh tomatoes, gooery Monterey jack cheese and American cheese, crispy lettuce and honey mustard dressing made the experience even more sensational. It was an amazing feeling to have my appetite intact and wanting for more even as I emptied the wooden board. But of course, I felt my bulging tummy as my pants became tighter too. =))
P.S. I highly suggest that you request for gloves and eat this with your hands like I did for a more wholesome experience.
Stackers Bakeed Fried Chicken: Stack & Go
For take-outs on any lazy day or party ideas, I highly recommend availing the Jumbo Stack of Stackers Baked Fried Chicken.
I'm sure this beautiful crate box will make you the star of the meal hehe.
The Stackers Baked Fried Chicken is better than fried since its baked and has 80% less oil. I was surprised at how enormous they are! I usually eat 2-3 pieces of chicken in a meal. But for the very first time, the entire family was satisfied with just one piece. My health-conscious siblings usually donate their chicken skin to me but not this time. They just couldn't resist the perfectly crunchy and healthier (80% less oiled) skin. Plus, the chicken meat was so tender and juicy. You just have to try this! For the price, I'd choose this healthier option any time of the day.
Side Stacks
For carbs to enjoy along your Stackers Baked Fried Chicken, the Crispy Fries is a good choice.
Mini Milk Shakes
The Coffee Oreo is a combination of my two addictions so I was an easy bait. I ordered the mini size to lessen the guilt hehe. It's so cute! However, I found it to be overly sweetened for my taste. The sweetness overpowered the fragrant taste of the brewed coffee.
Beverages
If you've been reading my post, you'd glance through my disappointments over overpriced non-brewed iced teas. I'm happy to share that the Stackers Iced Tea Large is not only affordable but a very good blend too.
Tip
I'm very happy with my experience at Stackers that I got my own Ifood Card. I just love cards. For only 350 php, you can avail the Ifood Card with a validity of 1 year. It entitles you to a 15% discount and 1 php rebate. Plus, a 25% off voucher for your birthday month (Can't wait to use this!). If it expires, you can renew it for only 150 php. By renewing, you can turn over your earned points to your new card.
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Stackers Burger Cafe as a burger joint is already one of the best available. But, it's more than that! Whether it's for Salads, Burgers or their Baked Fried Chicken, you definitely can't go wrong. The price is very reasonable for the quality food their offer. I look forward to my next visit. I'm surely going to try the Pepper Crunch Burger and perhaps try the "Build You Own" burger next. I just have an issue with the "Build You Own" option though, I can't seem to find the buns! I'd wouldn't want to stack many Angus Beef Patties without the delicious buns in between. I hope they make that available. If they do, who knows I might even stack a burger taller than The Penthouse right? ;)

One fine summer afternoon, my friend Sumi and I had a relaxing lunch date at Miso-Ten Robinsons Magnolia which is actually a short cut for their specialty dishes. Miso is a short cut for their Miso Ramen and Ten is a short cut for Tendon which means tempura rice bowl.
As its name Miso Ten hints, it is a casual Japanese restaurant that highlights its ramen and tempura offerings. It is under the Ifoods Inc. who runs Peri-Peri Chicken, Stackers,Parmigiano, Kogi Bulgogi and Tokyo Cafe.
Its woody interiors offers a simplistic and neutral feel designed for a eat and go scenario. Their location and pricing, makes them a viable option for employees and students. They have an indoor and al fresco dining option. The indoor is quite limited in terms of seating capacity but its very spacious so each table is afforded some privacy.
Food
Salad
Their Mango Kani Salad is overloaded with mango cubes, kani and cucumber strips. I could tell by the play of texture that every ingredients is at their best condition.
Ala Carte
Who could resist ever Tempura? I know I can't. I just love the feeling of biting into its extra crispy batter coating that unveils the soft tiger prawns. Miso-Ten's tempura sauce is thick and sweet which amplifies the flavor of the tempura making it a perfect viand for a rice bowl.
The Gyoza reminded me of the Chinese dumplings because it as steamed until the skin is wet and soft and it made us of kuchay (chinese chives) rather than the traditional Napa cabbage. Although I prefer my pan-fried Gyoza to have some crunchiness, I still enjoyed this for its taste and texture.
Ramen
The standard price of their standard ramen with complete toppings and sauces excluding extras is 275 php. You can customize your ramen by ticking the boxes of their order form.
TIP: If you're unsure whether you'll like the other components, you can request to have them served separately.
The Sesame Miso has a thick and rich base. A few sips of this and you'll be able to detect the evidently rich sesame paste. Since Sumi and I loved the fragrant flavor of roasted sesame, we really enjoyed this but found it difficult to finish. The eggs were able to meet my expectations since it was cooked runny.
I really wanted to try the Tan Tan Men but it was not available during our visit so I chose the Tonkotsu instead. The broth was creamy and pleasantly flavorful so we slurped it until the last drop. The Chasyu Pork was so soft, the you could feel the fatty part melt and explode with its savory flavors as it touches your tongue. Everything would have been perfect for me except that they use the usual egg noodles. But, for the price, I guess its quite understandable.
We had the Black Garlic served separately so we can try to match it with our two ramen orders. We discovered that it went well with the Tonkotsu but not so with the already strong and flavorful Sesame Miso.
Ramen Extra
Although I'd still go for the Chasyu Pork, the Roast Chicken is also a great alternative if you're opting for a leaner meat. The sauce and skin is so tasty and the chicken meat is tender. Or better yet, you can order this as extra like we did so you can have both. =)
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
The concept of Miso-Ten focusing on ramen and tempura which are popular Japanese favorites is brilliant. I particularly like the customizable ramen option. But, on my next visit, I'll probably try the Tan Tan Mien which I noticed is a fix deal. I also find their pricing budget-friendly which makes it a great option when craving for Japanese fare.

Whether its for a family dinner or hang out with friends, Tokyo Cafe has always been one of our favorite options. It offers a cute modernistic ambiance which gives of a cozy feel. In fact, last saturday, I spent long hours just eating and hanging out with foodie friends.
After dining at Tokyo Cafe for several times, let me share with you all the food I've tried out at Tokyo Cafe during my own personal visits with family and friends and during my visit last Saturday with foodie friends.
Japanese Fair
When the Oyaku-Ju was ordered by my family, they all said it was okay. When I ate with fellow foodies, they too said the same. I think the Oyaku-Ju is good but it was outshone by the other better options that Tokyo Cafe as to offer.
The Unaju is one of the best meals at Tokyo Cafe. All the of foodies agree that this was very delicious. It was tasty and soft. I'm very particular when it comes the fishy stench when it comes to an eel dish and I am very happy to say that the way this was cooked was done perfectly. It is one of the best eel dishes I've tried.
The Katsu-Ju was served in perfect golden breading. The crispiness of the breading was done just right. The cutlets was also very tender and the sauce complements it well.
My mom loves coffee so she orders one after every meal. She ordered the Cappucino. She said it was pretty good. The froth was done just right too.

Kalbi-Ju (241 php) |
The Kalbi-Ju had a salty taste to it because of the Yakiniku sauce. My fellow foodies liked this. However, having a lower tolerance for saltiness, it was a bit salty for me. But, I was impressed that the meat was very tender is fun to chew.

♥Ten-Ju (238 php) |
The Ten-Ju has generous servings of delicious deep fried shrimp tempura. The crunchy shell and the tender shrimp inside makes it a popular option among many. My little sister orders this every time.

♥Mango Chicken Salad (191 php) |
As soon as the Mango Chicken Salad was served, my family and I had the impression that the it was so fresh and beautiful. My family always order salads at different restaurants but this is the first time we have with this combination of ingredients and it was delicious! We just loved how the grapes and mango complemented the taste of the chicken salad.

♥Creamy Ebiko Pasta (270 php) |
The Creamy Ebiko Pasta was recommended by Jerome who frequented the place too. Surely, it did not disappoint us when we all tasted it. All of us foodies agreed that this is very delicious! The sauce is very tasty that even if you eat it with the shrimp, its still very good.
Burgersteak
![]() |
♥Hamburg & Shrimp (293 php) |
Whenever I dine at Tokyo Cafe, someone always orders one of the bugersteak varieties. Last Saturday, we ordered the Hamburg & Shrimp. I've always loved the tender juiciness and rich meaty taste of the bugersteak at Tokyo Cafe. This time was no different from the rest.
Chicken

Chicken & Cheese Roll (260 php) |
The Chicken & Cheese Roll was ordered for our appetizer. I enjoyed it because upon first bite, you'd feel the crispness of the breading. Then, the mozzarella cheese will ooze out as you bite the tender chicken meat.
![]() |
♥Chicken in a Basket Family Pack (7 pcs) (420 php) |
The Chicken in a Basket is a popular dish to order whenever dining in groups at Tokyo Cafe. A great thing about Chicken in a Basket is that you can choose the size depending on how many you are. Last Saturday, there was six of us so we opted for the Family Pack. Noticed the pricing gets lower, the more quantity you order. =) I was so stuffed by the time this arrived that I took the smallest wing part. The breading of the Chicken in a Basket was very tasty. It was unlike any fried chicken I've tasted before. I've tasted something similar but not as perfect as the crunch and the taste combo factor here.

While waiting for the others, I ordered the Coffee Jelly Smogee which was recommended by their staff. I had fun chewing the jelly that hardly noticed the time passing by.

When we decided to order food around three hours later, I ordered the Milk Oreo as a kicker. I opted for this non-expresso based smogee since I already had enough of caffeine.

One of my companions ordered the Choco Banana Almond so I had the chance to try Tokyo Cafe's crepe for the first time. To my surprise, their crepe was actually pretty good. It was light and airy so it was fun to chew.

Japanese Cheesecake (125 php) |
Our friend ordered the Japanese Cheesecake out of curiosity admitting that he has never tried one before. He was surprised that it was light and spongy in texture unlike the heavy cream cheese based cheesecakes he is used to eating. I've always like the Japanese Cheesecake. But, I guess it was not for everyone.

♥Tiramisu (150 php) |
Everyone agreed that the Tiramisu was the best dessert for the day. It was served chilled and melts in the mouth. The layers of expresso and mascarpone cheese was heavenly!
