Sinfully By Makati Shangri-La at Greenbelt 5 (Closed)

Last month, we were supposed to be rushing our way home but our eyes were suddenly captivated by the alluring sign "Sinfully by Makati Shangri-La".  

Notice that all those who come in are women? =)

Once we entered, there was no turning back.  It was certainly our kind of place, surrounded by all the beautiful cakes, chocolates, sweet treats and pastries.

Cakes

 

Emoticon Cake 

They had a large LCD touch screen display where you can create your own emoticon cake design.  You are given the option to choose the type of cake and then emoticon.  At the end, you have to confirm your order.  It's a wonderful gift idea right?

All their cakes are very creative!  I especially liked the cake bag idea.  


Mini Cakes

Pralines

Praline Box of 10 (60 php/piece)

At first, my sister only wanted to try one praline but the sales lady told us to get six because when you buy six or ten, you get a free box.  The sales lady was so nice to explain to us each praline that we couldn't help but buy six of them.  We're so glad we did because their pralines are delicious!  I actually thought we would bring it home to eat but upon reaching the car, everyone wanted to try out theirs.  

Kiss (58 php)

My little sister chose the Kiss with the lightest color.  Although the kiss was very attractive and cute, it was the least special among the pralines we bought.  It was only milk chocolate with amaretto and coffee.  The Lemon Praline was tangy lemon with dark chocolate.  The Mhiel looked like the Lemon Praline except that the square was color orange and had a honey taste.  The ♥Au Jasmine Praline was dark chocolate with the fragrant sweet taste of jasmine tea.  I never imagined they could go so well.  The ♥Piment Praline was milk chocolate with three kinds of peppers.  I forgot the name of the last one we tried but it was very good.  It was dark chocolate on the outside and oozing melted chocolate on the inside.

Macaroons

♥Macaroons (45 php)

We are not really fond of Macaroons because it is usually sweet due to the meringue.  But, enticed with the colors, we decided to buy two: Red and the Blue.  When we where already at the car, we tried the Macaroons and instantly regretted we only bought two.  They were smooth and refined in texture and were not too sweet at all.  We also realized that each color had different flavors.  The Red was raspberry which was delicious.  The Blue was mint.  We loved the mint!  It was so cool and refreshing.  

Pastries

We also bought their pastries. I just love pretzels!  It was pretty good.


Tsinoy Foodies Verdict

Sinfully by Makati Shangri-La offers really fine smooth great tasting pralines.   Although they are pricey, they are delicious and attractive and highly recommend as a gift for your female partners. The Macaroons are also a must try!  As for the cakes, I shall return for those.  But, I'm afraid I might just get tempted to get more pralines. =p
