Mercato Centrale Takehome: Supreme Brazo Bars by Ces Lopez (Closed)

Whenever I go out, I usually look for something to take home for my family.  Since my family are foodies too, I always bring home new treats for them to try out.  Kurt and I had our eyes on Supreme Brazo Bars by Ces Lopez because of its high distinction from various reliable sources which we give honor to.

They offer Brazo de Mercedes at different flavors aside from their Original flavor (30 php).  They have Mango (50 php), Caramelized Banana (50 php), Walnut (50 php), Cashew (50 php), Almond (50 php), Pistachio(50 php) and Macamia(50 php).  We were allow to have a FREE sampler.  

After tasting the Original flavor, I thought it was delicious so I decided to get 1 mixed box of 4 pieces for the price of 200 php.  I choose the the other three flavors, Pistachio because my family and I love Pistachio, Macadamia and Mango.  I wanted to try the Walnut but it was not available.  As I was about to pay, Kurt said the box is more expensive than when we will pay individually because the Original flavor is only 30 php.  So, we asked if we can purchase individually and the seller agreed.  

They also sold cookies but we didn't get to try it.  I was in for the Brazo de Mercedes at that moment.

The Supreme Brazo Bars were soft, light and fluffy.  The fillings were delicious.  They were flavorful.  I enjoyed the Mango and the Pistachio most.  It was our first time to try Brazo de Mercedes in bars.  I think its better because you can eat it at the right amount you want to.  I find it more softer and fresher too.   However, it still was difficult for me to finish an entire piece since I always find meringues to be quite sweet so  I took little bites and placed it in the fridge.  Although, I'm not a fan of Brazo de Mercedes but this one is the best I've tried so far.  

Tsinoy Foodies Verdict

For those who are fond of eating Brazo de Mercedes, you certainly can't miss out Supreme Brazo Bars by Ces Lopez.   Plus, Ces Lopez has made Brazo de Mercedes more fun to eat with its additional flavors.  Before this, I've usually eaten Brazo de Mercedes (frozen and non-frozen) with mango or custard cream only.  I didn't expect, it go so well with others too.  Price is just right too.  

Update as of December 15, 2019:  Supreme Brazo Bars by Ces Lopez is closed as Ces Lopez opened an online store called Pasteleria Manila (which we have yet to try).
