Bring along the kids when you dine at B&B Burgers and Brewskies. I've shared about their more popular items. Now, this time I'm going to share what's in store for your little ones.
Kid's Grub
The Slip N Slide are 2 little B&B 100% US Beef sliders with B&B ketchup, B&B cheese and potato hays. It's the same good thing served bite size so its easier for the kids to munch.
The Curly Tails is the classic mac and cheese with bacon!
My favorite (yes, kid at heart right here!) is the Krispy Pinkies. The Krispy Pinkies is rice krispries crusted chicken strips served with a choice of honey mustard or root beer bbq sauce. The sauces were not available during our visit so we had one with aioli. But, if you ask me, I'm fine even without sauce because the "krispiness" is really awesome and the chicken meat is soft and moist. I found it really fun to eat.
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
If you want to have fun but feel guilty leaving the kids, better bring them over at B&B Burgers and Brewskies. They have cool choices for both adults and kids.

Seoul Korean Restaurant: Hidden Authentic Korean Gem (Ortigas Pasig)
Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines
When we ate at Jang Ga Nae, my little sister said that we should have eaten at Seoul Korean Restaurant where she and her schoolmates always dine at. I told her that Jang Ga Nae was top-rated by bloggers and netizens while Seoul Korean Restaurant is unsearchable online.
She told me that this place used to be named Happy 6 Days. Since my little sister is the ultimate K-pop and Korean food fan in the family, we take her suggestions highly and gave Seoul Korean Restaurant a try.
It is not as big as it's next door neighbor but believe it or not, I find simple homy places more appealing.
Food
We were served their delicious Complimentary Banchan: Miyeok Muchim (seaweed salad), Mu Saengchae (thinly sliced radish kimchi), Kimchi, Gyeran Mari (fried egg), Okra Kangjung, Dubu Ganjangjorim (pan-fried tofu with spicy sauce). We loved all of them! We were looking forward to trying more dishes upon tasting these!
The Kimbap is so good too!
The Dak Galbi is one of the best I've had! The spiciness isn't overwhelming with a mellow sesame essence. The serving size is hefty too.
The O-Sam Bulgogi is thin pork an squid slices in soy sauce marinate. We had the spiciness at mild level. This was another hit! The pork and squid were tender plus the marinade was so delicious!
Leading Korean Fried Chickens brands are no match for the Yang Nyum Chicken. It's got finger-licking sauce, very crunchy skin and tender juicy meat. I'm actually quite surprised at how good this is!
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Seoul Korean Restaurant is Pasig's hidden authentic Korean gem. Every dish we ordered was so good! Taste-wise, I felt that they don't scrimp on ingredients as the dishes are so rich and hearty just like the kind of food my mom and I would prepare at home. Their serving size is good for sharing so bring some company with you. I highly recommend this place.

Burgers & Brewskies (B&B): Bizarre Burgers and Awesome Booze (Estancia Mall Capitol Commons)
Philippines
There's been a lot of buzz over Burgers & Brewskies bizarre burgers. So when the gang invited me to chill at their Estancia Mall Branch, I got over there in a jiffy.
Although they are more busy during night time, they are also open for lunch.
It has a simple no fuzz interior with TV screens and sound system.
They have cool messages randomly plastered over the place.
Food
B&B Signature
They offered lots of intriguing burgers so we just couldn't resist trying as much as we could.
If you've been reading my previous posts. I've always shared my love for mushrooms! So the Cloud is my kind of burger. The Cloud has roasted garlic aioli, B&B cheese sauce and tons of balsamic glazed shitakes with dried figs.
The Call The Nurse is a mandatory requirement for first timers. This is the novelty burger brought about the buzz around Burgers & Brewskies. Just take a look at that! The Call The Nurse is spiced mustard aioli, B&B cheese sauce, seared mac and cheese and honey sriracha bacon.
The Pendong is a Filipino inspired. This Filipino-American fusion has B&B beef patty stuffed topped with bleu cheese topped, sauteed onion and green mangoes. Wow! I was really surprised at how well the pickled green mangoes and the bleu cheese combo works.
The Philly is the philly cheese steak improvised. The Philly is the B&B Beef Patty stuffed with sauteed thinly sliced steak, B&B cheese sauce, sauteed onions and peppers.
The Winner Winner Chicken Dinner has a cool name. It's also pretty good taste-wise. It has 1/3 B&B chicken patty, roasted garlic aioli, B&B cheese sauce, rum BBQ sauce and onion rings.
Wing It!
The Buffalo is Burgers & Brewskies' version of the classic buffalo wings. It's spiced up with cayenne pepper sauce mixed with butter. As expected, it is served with bleu cheese sauce.
I liked the Salt & Pepper more than the Buffalo. The Salt & Pepper is seasoned with Chinese five spice with a sweet and spicy vinegar dip.
Side Kicks
The Zucchini Sticks is crispy fried breaded zucchini sticks served with olive aioli dip. It was just okay for me.
Happy Ending
The Creamy Soy Panna Cotta is smooth soy milk panna cotta topped with B&B's spiced candied bacon bits. This cup was all for me and I loved it.
Draft
I know you guys are more excited for the booze. They have a lot of options. Draft Beers include: Holgate Mt Macedon Pale Ale (210 php/mug) and Holgate Road Trip IPA (230 php/mug)
Bottle
You can also pair your burgers with these: Corona Extra (140 php), Stella Artois (130 php), Hoegarden (150 php), Gordon Biersch Hefeweizen (175 php) and Becks (130 php).
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Anytime is a fun time at Burgers & Brewskies. Their burgers are a must try especially if you want to enlighten your taste buds by trying something out of the ordinary. And, whether it's burgers and booze, the price is reasonable. They have FREE WiFi and great TV screens too.

Mr. Moo's Fresh Milk Kesong Puti: Cow, Carabao and Goat Milk (Aguinaldo Hi Way Cavite)
Cavite City, Cavite, Philippines
On our way home from Sonya's Garden, we were attracted by the pink sign of Mr. Moo's Fresh Milk Kesong Puti so we decided to stop by and check what we could bring back in Manila.
It was on an empty lot so you can easily stop by. There were some cars ahead of us buying milkshakes so we had to wait for our turn.
It's a simple shack with a menu board of all its products.
There's also buckets filled with pastillas which successfully lured us to buy some.
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Mr. Moo's Fresh Milk Kesong Puti is a good stop for unadulterated fresh milk (that lasts 5-7 days from purchase) we can't easily buy at nearby supermarkets and grocery stores sourcing from dairy cooperatives. The price is not the most affordable and convenient if you happen to pass by,

Ziggurat Cuisine: Mother's Day with Exotic Culinary Wonders From Around the World
Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
Last Mother's Day, my siblings and I decided to treat our mom to a dinner Ziggurat Cuisine.
It's really difficult to decide what to give to a woman who has given you her life and asking nothing in return. She is always saying that she's already happy as things are. Yet, we love her so much so we want to give her the world. But, right now, we couldn't afford to treat her to a trip around the world so we the next best thing is to bring her to Ziggurat Cuisine that offers over 200 dishes from India, the Mediterranean, Africa and Middle East.
Ziggurat Cuisine is located at Tigris Street and Durban Street near Makati Avenue. It's unique facade really stands out.
The dining area is quite limited so aside from the long table on the side, small tables are set up with pillow seats.
Utensils are set up as soon as our orders are taken.
In honor of Mother's Day, I would like to dedicate this post to my mom. I know everyone claim's that their mom is the best. Well, my mom really is the best person I've ever encountered.
Most people are driven by pride, self-achievement, materialism and survival instincts - all reared towards ourselves. But, my mom is different. She's a giver. She does everything for others and never (not exaggerating here!) thinks of herself. I know I will never be as great as my mom. (although I always strive to be). But, I know that where I am and where I will be is because of my mom. Because of my mom, I can positively view life with all its beauty and colors. I've seen my mom's heart radiate through all kind of obstacles and hardships. Her non-stop laughter, happiness and feeling of gratitude towards God and the world is unwavered by losses and gains. And, every moment is so wonderfully bright as we enjoy working diligently, eating out, dancing, singing, watching movies, trying new things and exploring the world.
Food
Shurabat/Soupes/Sopas/Zuppas/Soups
The Canja is a Moroccan chicken soup with lemon and mint. This is one of the most refreshing soups I've ever encountered.
The Indian Khumbi Yogurt is a creamy mushroom soup with a interesting spices: cumin, pepper, lemon and garlic.
Middle Eastern Kebabs
The Scallop Kebab is one of the best kebabs I've ever tried. I didn't even know you could make a kebab out of scallops. The light butter, lemon, paprika and garlic worked wonderfully.
We were all determined to try something exotic so we chose the Rabbit Kebab. It was prepared using an early Arabian recipe. It was heavily seasoned with paprika (something we failed to appreciate) with a hint of lemon, parsley, salt, mustard and olive oil. It was so rubbery and difficult to chew.
Rice and Grain
The Turkish Eggplant Pilavi is a bowlful of long grain rice with small slices of eggplant, tomatoes and garlic. We all loved this!
The Persian Tadiq is an Iranian rice with egg and crispy socarat (slightly burnt parts). It is said to be enjoyed by Persian nobilities but I found it too plain and boring.
The Himalayan Mushroom Rice is a cup of premium Basmati rice with mushroom, cummin, fennel and anise. I highly recommend this!
Bread
The Ethiopian Injera are cooked like moist pancakes and taste like sour dough.
Speecialties from Around the Mediterranean
I've long been searching for the best moussaka. I think their Moussaka is what I'm searching for!
The Great Curries of India and Pakistan
The Bombay Yellow Curry Chicken is a spicy coconut milk and yellow curry based chicken dish spiced with tumeric, garam masala, chilies and ginger. I loved this! I'm going to try more indian curry from now on.
Exotic African Delights: Northern Africa
The Duck Tagine M'ghdour is duck stew which has a very rich and bold flavor from the duck meat being lengthily simmered and recooked in the zesty tomato sauce. It is also topped with egg.
Sweet Temptations
Most baklavas I've encountered are expensive and tiny. Their Baklava was not only generous in portion but its the best phylo pastry with honey, almonds and walnuts I have ever had! I noticed that they don't use pistachio like the others but I loved it!
Drinks
Cold
The Cameroonian Guava Shandy is very smooth, bubbly and fruity.
Ladies will surely enjoy the sweet and fragrant Einab Cold Arabian Flower Tea.
Hot
The Indian Chai Tea is a nice and soothing spiced and slightly sweet taste after-meal hot drink.
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
I've never encountered such a small place with a huge variety of worldly cuisines like Ziggurat Cuisine. I highly recommend this! I hope to be back to try more of their exotic culinary wonders from around the world.
