Stickhouse Gelato: Pistachio and Mango Gelato on a Stick

We, Tsinoy Foodies, first noticed Stickhouse at Megamall but our tummy always didn't have the space to give it a chance.  So, when we saw it on Best Food Forward (see previous entry), fellow Tsinoy Foodie Kurt and I looked at each other with silent confirmation and proceeded to their booth.

Stickhouse is an international franchise from Italy where gelato originated so we were very eager to try it out.   Too bad, it was almost closing time when we arrived so the choices were limited.  

Premium

Pistachio (80 php)

I chose the Pistachio.  Upon first bite, I was amazed at the perfect consistency of the gelato.  My teeth sunk into the soft gelato.  Despite the creaminess, it bore the flavor of rich pistachio.  To my surprise, it also did not melt too fast so it wasn't messy to eat.

Regular

Mango (70 php)

Kurt loves Mangoes so naturally he chose the Mango flavor.  However, it didn't meet his expectation as the mango taste was overpowered by the milkiness.  However, we could ascertain that it was made from real mangoes as there were mango strands that could be felt from the gelato.

Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Stickhouse gelato is fun to eat especially for kids since its easy to hold and soft and fun to chew.  This is the best gelato I've tried so far.  However, in terms of price, it costs higher than a Magnum Ice Cream Bar (see previous entry) that caused a fuzz because of its price.  But, I assure you it offers a unique sensation that ordinary ice cream can't provide.  I'm sure that we will definitely buy one of these again.
