Even with the COVID pandemic and some quarrantine measures in place, we noticed that there are two Korean craze that are still at an all time high in terms of popularity: (1) Samgyupsal and (2) Mukbang. Just to join the bandwagon, we decided to try out All4U Unlimited Grill & Shabu Shabu and see if we could do it too.
The branch we visited is at SM Manila.
Brief Info on Mukbang
So what exactly is Mukbang about? Mukbang is a portmanteau word that comes from combining two (2) partial Korean words: (1) muk-ja which means eating and (2) bang-song which mean broadcast.
Thus, Mukbang is a Korean trend that started in 2010 where the Broadcast Jockey (BJ) (Korea's term for vlogger) consumes a lot of food in front of an online audiovisual broadcast.
As the popularity of Mukbang is still growing, some BJs are even incorporating ASMR which stands for autonomous sensory meridian response into their style of broadcast.
Food
So we were all very excited to see if we have a potential in riding this Mukbang craze.

Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Four in Love BBQ and Hot Pot Buffet offers a top-notch bbq and hot put buffet experience. For the 20% off price, the Abundance Set is definitely worth a try! Because of the soup and mookata add-on price, its best to bring at least three companions. Overall, we Tsinoy Foodies enjoyed the grill, hotpot and sauce mixing experience. We also liked the three price point for the sets so you can choose depending on your appetite and budget. Perhaps, for simplicity though, the price could be more inclusive for the soup and drinks.

Actually, we've have a lot of Taiwanese in the Philippines. One of my childhood neighbor is Taiwanese and the grade school and high school I attended was run by Taiwanese nuns and priests. But, it is only recently that we see Taiwanese Cuisine in Manila demarcating itself from Chinese Cuisine.
Truth be told, the difference is not that big since Taiwanese Cuisine is mainly influenced by Chinese Cuisine, most notably from the south of Fujian (Hokkien/Fukien) where most Filipino-Chinese or Tsinoys like me descend our ancestry from.
