Sentosa: Singaporean Restaurant at Shang-rila Plaza Mall

During our short stop at Shang-rila Plaza Mall, the crowdedness at Sentosa caught my family's assiduousness.  At first, they were reluctant to try it out because the name is similar to Food De Sentosa (see previous entry) where we had a disappointing encounter.  When I assured them that it was a different establishment, we quickly dined in.

We had to wait awhile before we were led to our table on the outside area.  My family were eager to eat so we didn't mind not being able to appreciate their elegant interiors.

Food

Appetizers
satay kajang chicken
 Satay Kajang Chicken (195 php)
The Satay Kajang Chicken were served in generous proportions.  They were tender and well marinated. Of course, its best eaten with their peanut sauce.

Chicken
singaporean hainanese boneless chicken
Singaporean Hainanese Boneless Chicken Half (350 php)
The Singaporean Hainanese Boneless Chicken was savory enough even without the ginger sauce but its not the best one out there.

Vegetables
sauteed broccoli with scallop in XO sauce
Sauteed Broccoli with Scallop in XO Sauce (245 php)
We're all veggie lovers in the family so vegetables are a must when dining.  Since the Sauteed Broccoli with Scallop in XO Sauce had all our favorite components, we were all happy with its light flavor.

Rice

thai bagoong fried rice
Thai Bagoong Fried Rice (220 php)

We have tried so many versions of the Thai Bagoong Fried Rice in the past and I have to say Sentosa's version is pretty competitive.

nonya fried rice
Nonya Fried Rice (220 php)
Desserts
sticky mango with rice
Sticky Rice with Mango (85 php)
We can never grow tired of our favorites.  We ordered the Sticky Rice with Mango once again. Sentosa's Sticky Rice with Mango is served with generous amount of creamy coconut milk.

ice kachang with ice cream
Ice Kachang with Ice Cream (130 php)
I am always up for icy treats so I ordered the Ice Kachang with Ice Cream.  It was deliciously refreshing.  Every spoonful was delightful!  I love it!

Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Sentosa is a Singaporean restaurant that offers a wide range of Asian dishes even for desserts.  Their pricing is reasonable and service is satisfactory albeit the high demands during peak hours.
