I have never been mystified by a food establishment until I encountered BOA Kitchen + Socials. Like an abstract art, there are so many aspects of it that requires to be deciphered.
The name BOA was conceptualized from the boa in the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry called "The Little Prince". Ironically, my mom who is not a book reader at all, loves that book so it was one of first books that I have read.
Although there are many philosophical interpretations to the boa in book "The Little Prince", what BOA Kitchen + Socials wants to depict is written on the wall (in what seems to be reptillean scales) "always change".
Food
For breakfast and lunch, it serves Australian-inlfuenced dishs. Then, at night, it transforms (symbolized by the revealing a hidden wall with an enchanting lady and a boa) into a social place with drinks and Asian-inspired dishes.
Lunch
♥ Tinapa Cream Cheese Toast (175 php)
Sandwiches & Waffles
Chori Burger (295 php)
Mains
♥ Steak and Eggs w/ Fries (495 php)
English Breakfast (325 php)
Pasta
♥ Alfredo Pesto Pasta (285 php)
♥ Pasta Vongole (285 php)
The Pasta Vongole is another well-executed dish. All quality ingredients (al-dente spaghetti, baby clams, garlic and lemon) are balanced in a way they are evident in every mouthful.
Dessert
Banana Pie (175 php)
This is my first time to encounter a Banana Pie like this one. At first sight, I even mistook the caramelized banana for apple bits. At first bite, I was able to distinguish the wonderful texture the banana bits had to offer. The crumbs and vanilla ice cream tones down the sweetness of the caramel to a soothing level.
Small Plates
Sisig Croquettes (225 php)
Wonton Nachos (245 php)
♥ Salmon Tatar (345 php)
♥ Pulpo (Grilled Octopus) (345 php)
Hands down my most favorite dish in BOA is the Pulpo. This Spanish tapa dish had a very tender and deliciously smokey octopus. Together with the potato puree, chorizo crumbs, paprika-thyme oil, it was overall a savory and comforting dish.
Noodles
Char Kwaey Teow (365 php)
Pad Thai Chicken (375 php)
Mains
♥ Beef Rendang w/ Cococnut Lime Rice (425 php)
♥ Thai Fried Chicken
Funny how I have tried several Thai restaurants and yet this is my first time to try a Thai Fried Chicken. Because I enjoy tumeric and curry flavors, I trully enjoyed this together with the sweet chili sauce and curried mashed potato.
♥ Crispy Pork Sambal (445 php)
I've never appreciated pork sambal until I tried BOA's Crispy Pork Sambal. The pork belly cooked like cripsy lechon kawali is good on its own. It is even better when it comes with the sambal sauce and slaw.
Dessert
Deconstructed Star Anise Cheesecake
Drinks
Bar + Shots
I'm not much as a drinker as I am a foodie but BOA's drink are as equally interesting.
Aside from the usual blends, there's some color changing element too.
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
BOA Kitchen + Socials is a chillout place that will definitely leave you a lasting impression. I really had a great time and would definitely love to come back. I hope Quezon City warmly welcomes concepts like this as it progressively evolves.

My family has taught me that life is all about giving and sharing. And, I would attribute my happiness and success because of such lesson. I'm so glad Stoned Steaks is also established based on that concept.
The owners Dick and Mars Balajadia said that they wanted to make a steak experience that's affordable, fun and good for sharing.
This is just an addition to the spouses' many business ventures such as: Savour Manila Food Park, Diore Salon, Mir Wellness Spa, Mines View Park Hotel, 55 Events Place and The 3rd Fitness Lab.
Food
You wouldn't mind the wait because they serve a really good Complimentary Bread Basket.
Starters
For an affordable, I also recommend having its Soup of the Day for a more wholesome experience.
Steak Angus
You can choose two sauces per steak. I love the bleu cheese and mushroom the most!
Pasta
Surf and Turf
Aside from its steaks, they offer fresh seafood too!
Sides
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Stoned Steaks will definitely satisfy your steak craving. The food quality including preparation is worth every peso. They also have promos like Steak All You Can and Half Off on Thursdays!

Food
♥ Complimentary Bread Basket
Starters
Soup of the Day (130 php)
♥ Oyster Rockefeller (260 php)
You definitely can't miss the Oyster Rockefeller! I'd even order this twice if our mains didn't come any sooner.
Truffle Parmesan Fries (190 php)
The Truffle Parmesan Fries had lots of parmesan but I could hardly taste the truffle.
Steak Angus
♥ Wagyu Ribeye Grade 4 (2,950 php)
Just look at their Wagyu Ribeye Grade 4! I'm very satisfied with their quality! They also have 28 dry aged wagyu steak at grade 6. I'd try that on an occasion perhaps.
Sauces| ♥ Bleu Cheese, ♥Mustard, Peppercorn, ♥ Mushroom, Red Wine, Chimichurri |
Pasta
Spaghetti Wagyu Meatballs (470 php)
Surf and Turf
♥ Stoners Fresh Catch (1,350 php)
Sides
♥ Steak Fried Rice (130 php)
Cause we Filipinos love rice, you can have some Steak Fried Rice as well.
♥ Kimchi Fried Rice (110 php)
But, for some odd reason, I liked the Kimchi Fried Rice and Wagyu steak combo more.

A little over a month ago, my friend Justin and I discovered Mrs. Graham's Cafe along Scout Rallos in Quezon City.
The lighted sign is visible from Tomas Morato if you have a good eye-sight like my friend J.
The facade looks like a cute Parisian cafe I've seen on post cards. movies and television shows. Upon the sight of it, I knew J was so excited to take his fashion shots there. Yes, in case you don't know yet. J is a very popular male fashion blogger with lots of followers under his wing.
It occupies two floors but the second floor was closed during our visit. Everything is just so cute...
even the lighting see... And, I don't usually mention this but their rest room soaps are also shaped like macarons. We're told that everything was hand-crafted by the owner herself. She sure has a handful of skills. I'm envious!
I've first encountered Mrs. Graham's at the Electrolux Discover-E Food Festival last year. Back then, they didn't have a stand alone store. And, now I'm happy to see that they don't only offer macarons but other pastries too.
The macarons available are displayed on their chiller. That got me really excited since I'm always in search of interesting macarons to try.
They also sell other gift items.
They also have some games you can play.
Food and Drinks
J had the Jade of Africa and he said it was a bit watered down. We split the Bibingka Macaron and we really liked its tickling salted egg twist . The texture of the macarons was really good. In fact, it's one of the best macarons in terms of consistency I've ever encountered.
For my drink, I had their new Cappuccino Milk Shake. Because I really like my coffee strong, I ordered an extra shot of espresso. As a stand alone coffee drink, it was too light for me. But, I appreciated its lightness and milkiness as it didn't overpower the unique flavors of the macarons.
The S'Mores was fun to eat. The Tiramisu was a great macaron rendition of one of my favorite cakes. But, the winner among all the macarons we tried was the Bittersweet. It was rich, moist, bittersweet, crunchy and fudgy all at the same time. It's just amazing!
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Calling all macaron enthuasists like me! I highly recommend Mrs. Graham's Macaron Cafe for its unique flavors. The quaint and cute macaron-theme of the cafe also makes it worth suggesting as a chill place.
