Ashark Club: Upscale Chinese Club is Now Open (Grand Phoenix Hotel Pasay City)

A few weeks ago,  I was invited to the grand opening of Ashark Club located at the second floor of Golden Phoenix Hotel.

Ashark Club aims to be one of the best (if not the best) Chinese clubs in the Metro.

This state-of-the-art restaurant with a total land area of 1600 square meters making it perfect for all kinds of events for corporate events, family gatherings and all sorts of occasions.  It has a seating capacity of 200 persons. 

Ashark Club takes its name from an actual live shark that they have.

Yes, you can actually check out their fresh ingredients.

The grand opening was attended by Heart Evanglista.

After the ribbon cutting, guests are allowed inside to view the VIP rooms.  Ashark Club features four 4 KTV rooms and 7 VIP Rooms.

I'm sure there are lot to be amazed about by their VIP rooms.  But, what got me the most is the remote controlled lazy susan. 

But the main highlight is the videoke rooms.

Each VIP room is unique.

This room has the biggest karaoke room.

Food

 Abalone With Mixed Dry Seafood In Thick Soup (鲍参翅肚羹)

Not only does Ashark Club boast of its extravagant dining space and VIP rooms, it also brought in  from China a pool of chefs specializing in Cantonese, Hunan, and Sichuan cuisine.

Deep-Fried Pigeon (红烧乳鸽)

There were classic favorites such as the Deep-Fried Pigeon (红烧乳鸽).

Steamed Red Grouper With Peanut Oil (功夫香葱星班)

I was really impressed with their Steamed Red Grouper With Peanut Oil (功夫香葱星班).

Deep-Fried Pechay (杏香酥棠菜)

We all didn't enjoy the Deep-Fried Pechay (杏香酥棠菜) because we could feel the oiliness in every bite.

Sauteed Snow Diced Beef With Black Pepper (私房一品牛肉)

My table mates favorite is the Sauteed Snow Diced Beef With Black Pepper (私房一品牛肉).  The plate was emptied even before the first ones that was served.

Assorted Vegetables on Ice (时蔬冰盘)

Even if you beautifully display vegetables as the Assorted Vegetables on Ice (时蔬冰盘), sad to say it wasn't touched especially the bitter gourd.

Sauteed Prawns With Long Jing Tea (玫瑰龙井虾仁)

Aside from being beautifully plated, the Sauteed Prawns With Long Jing Tea (玫瑰龙井虾仁) is delicious.

Pan-Fried Lamb Chop (香辣战斧羊排)

I guess we're really carnivores because aside from the Sauteed Snow Diced Beef With Black Pepper (私房一品牛肉), we also finished the Pan-Fried Lamb Chop (香辣战斧羊排) quickly.

Polonchay With Wanton In Soup (白鹭云吞飘绿波)

A very warming and healthy soup is the Polonchay With Wanton In Soup (白鹭云吞飘绿波).

To whet our appetite we were also allowed to see what was served in the next VIP room.  They look pretty luxurious right?
