Standard Group, the same group that brought in Yabu and Ippudo, now brings the authentic American barbecue to Filipinos.

The Standard Group has flown in the in brainchild Pitmaster Hugh Mangum known as the “Barbeque King of New York”.
22-Hour Slow Smoked Brisket |
The dining set up is very casual with industrial chairs and wooden tables. On top of each table is a bucket for utensils and their barbecue sauce.
Mighty Quinn's adopts a self-service system where you have to order at the counter. And, there's a water station on the right side.
I think it's a very effective marketing strategy because the first thing you'll see are the Meats. They will be basting and slicing them before you so will get really tempted to want to order everything!
Once you make the tough decision, they will place your choice of Meats on the tray and weight them.
Next, you get to Pickled Add-Ons and Sides.
Then, you can pick your Drinks and Dessert which they can serve later on. And, then you will be charged for you're meal. It's a good idea to notice the pricing on the menu and not to get too excited on ordering so much because your bill can be surprisingly expensive.
Brisket and Spare Ribs are worth it! The Brisket is so tender and juicy with the right amount of fat. Prior to serving the Spare Ribs, Hugh Mangum implored upon us not to use knife and fork to eat it. He said, that the Spare Ribs are not meant to be fall of the bone and instead offers a unique crunch to every bite. Indeed, the Spare Ribs is a whole new experience for me. It is totally different from the Baby Back Ribs which I'm used to.
I also loved the Buttermilk Broccoli Salad and Burnt End Beans. All their Meats have the same barbecue sauce which is a bit sour rather than sweet so it's best to order Sides that are not sour. Had I known this, I would have ordered the Cream-Based Slaw instead.
My friend Berylle (of itsberyllicious.com) order this humongous meal and finished it! But, before she did, she allowed me to sample the ones I did not order. The Burnt Ends is in a form of a cube. The texture of the meat is leaner and tougher than the Brisket and akin to chunky corned beef. The Pulled Pork is strands of pork - also with the same barbecue sauce. And, the Half Chicken is also glazed with the same barbecue sauce. We both liked the Sweet Potato Casserole which was evidently spiced with cinnamon.

Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Mighty Quinn's certainly offers a unique slow smoked American barbecue experience. A single serving of Meat with the free sandwich or Dirty Rice will already satisfy you. And, if you're a hefty eater, adding some Sides will certainly bring a more pleasurable experience. I don't suggest ordering more than one Meat since they are all rubbed with the same barbecue sauce.
