Chubby's Rib Shack: Ribs and Chops in Makati

Chubby's Rib Shack is a meat lovers paradise.  It is located in Solaris One Building near Makati Medical Center and hundreds of business offices.  

It has an ambiance of a shack but a warm and cozy one.  It had red booth liked that of a diner and wooden fixtures that complements its wooden planks and ceiling.  It also had wood fire displayed by the side.  It has an open kitchen visible through its tile glasses too.  Since you're expected to be messy. They have placed napkins on each table along with their menu.

Food
I'm not much of a meat lover so I let fellow Tsinoy Foodie Kurt take charge of the food selection.  Although we could have ordered some options from their sister company Buffalo's Wings and Things, as expected Kurt decided to go otherwise because he adores meat!

♥ Riblets Basket (279 php)

As our server recommends, we ordered Riblets Basket.  It is smoked and grilled riblets basted with cayenne bbq sauce serve in a red basket with texas toast and a cup of coleslaw.  We both loved this!  This is one of the best riblets we've had.  We only wish it had a more generous proportions.   The coleslaw is just okay.

Chop House Classics

Whiskey Glaze and Frizzled Onions (249 php)

The Whiskey Glaze and Frizzled Onions  is premium Angus beef steak seasoned with whiskey glaze served with frizzled onions, texas toast, steamed veggies and honkey tonk rice.  The Whickey glaze gave a light sweet and aromatic flavor that complements the steak well.  You have to eat this fast to appreciate it thought because it isn't served in a hot plate.  It's our first time to try the honkey tonkey rice and it was great with the steak.

Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Chubby's Rib Shack has great meaty options and you can also order old time favorites from Buffalo's Wings and Things.  Their Riblets Basket are a must try!  Their steak meals are so affordable too.  We'll probably try their other variants when in the area.
