Frostea Milk Tea: Cooler than the Average Milk Tea Place (Now House of Tea)

Ever since The Foodies Circle started, we've been on a look out for new and interesting places to try.  To be fair, we take turns in deciding where to go next.  I took the risk and suggested the three-month old Frostea Milk Tea.  

I consider the place a bit conspicuous because its not in the main road of Katipunan.  However, this quaint place in Xavierville is worth the visit.  It is very accessible from Ateneo and the LRT 2 Katipunan Station too.  If ever you don't feel like going out, you can always call for their FREE delivery.  They have a minimal purchase requirement of 200 php to 500 php within the area.

Frostea Milk Tea freshly brews their tea several times a day.  All their ingredients and blending recipes are sourced from Taiwan.  But to best meet your taste preference, you can also adjust the sugar level.

Don't be misled by the simplicity of Frostea Milk Tea's facade.  Once you go inside, you can feel the place emanate a casual and homey feel.  We instantly fell into its cozy spell chatting the night away.  To be honest, we lost track of time and almost missed the last train towards home. =p  The place has  FREE and speedy WiFi which makes it the perfect hang out for students and netizens like us too.

Tsim Sha Tsui with Red Bean Milk Tea (95 php)

The Tsim Sha Tsui with Red Bean Milk Tea is named after a place in Hongkong.  It is an earl grey milk tea with red bean.  It was very aromatic and flavorful because they only serve freshly brewed tea. I also enjoyed chewing on the soft red beans.  It was the perfect accompaniment.

Smoothies

Deluxe Honeydew Smoothie with Mango & Pearl (100 php)

The Deluxe Honeydew Smoothie with Mango & Pearl  is one of the best smoothies I have ever tried.  A single sip made me appreciate the sweet fragrant flavor of the honeydew.  The mango bits and perfectly cooked pearls were the best complement too!  This is a must try!

Rock Salt & Cheese

Red Bean Milk Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese Giant 22 oz. (100 php)

The Red Bean Milk Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese is an assam black tea with rock salt and cheese.  Unlike the usual frothy cheese, their version has a thick cream cheese on top.  Although we barely detected any saltiness, we still enjoyed it because of the rich tea taste. 

Yummy Yakult

Yakult Green Tea with Crystals (90 php)

The Yakult Green Tea with Crystals is a mix of the tangy yakult and the equally flavorful green tea.  This drink gives off a cleansing effect to the taste buds.  I loved the crystals. =D

Beef Mami (75 php)

When the Beef Mami was laid before us, our appetites were instantly aroused by the distinct scent of parsley.  Add a dash or two of pepper and you'll find the Beef Mami delightfully meaty and refreshing. This dish is a "bang for the buck" for those in a tight budget because the generous amount of well-marinated beef, vegetables and noodles will surely leave you satisfied.  

Siomai (55 php)

The Siomai was large in size.  As you can see, the pork meat is bigger than the wanton wrapper.  A bite of it made us all a fan.  It was pure pork meat which was so tender and succulent.  I guarantee, you'll enjoy this and it will make you crave for more!  But, worry not since the price is so affordable that you can eat as you please without hurting your budget.

Frostea Milk Tea is a hidden gem for tea and non-tea lovers alike.  They have a lot of beverage options to offer.  Whether you go for milk tea or smoothies, you will not be disappointed.   Their food is also very competitive.  In fact, their drinks and food really of quality that we could hardly believe that their prices are so cheap.  There currently have two branches: Katipunan and E. Rodriguez Branch.
