It has been a tradition of USPB to showcase talented Filipino chefs. This year, the stage was given to Chef Arnold Gozon, the executive chef of Terraz in Makati City. Having dined at Terraz before, I have to agree that he truly deserved the spotlight.
Representative of the US Department of Agriculture as well as USPB's partners and clients including well-renowned chefs such as Chef Sandy Daza and Chef Sharwin Tee graced the event too.
USPB Country Representative Reji Retugal-Onal and USPB Global Marketing Manager Susan Weller made the thanksgiving event more meaningful by presenting the #USPotatoesForACause campaign. It is an on-going social media campaign where people can share their own potato recipes for the chance to have USPB donate on their behalf to partner orphanages: Tahanan ng Pagmamahal and Bahay Maria. The donation helps them in creating healthy and nutritious foods for the children. So far, the campaign has generated 15 kilos of US potatoes to be donated to the beneficiaries. If you submit until December 31, you can get a chance to win GCs too.
