Divine Sweets Bakery and Cafe: Puerto Princesa Food Trip Sweet Ending

For breakfast, we Tsinoy Foodies decided to hang out at Divine Sweets Bakery and Cafe.

It's has a simple facade of a typical city cake cafe.

The interiors looks a bit like an American diner with red and white motif including its tiled floors.

As hinted by its name, they have cakes and other sweet treats!

They also sell pastries.

The extended area has a different vibe to it.  It was darker with dark amber wooden tables and chairs, red linen lofts and red brick walls.  This is were we decided to chill as they had a fast and reliable WiFi.

Food
When the food was served, Kurt with his ever playfulness challenged me to a food photography contest.  He had so much enthusiasm hat I just had to agree even when I wanted to tell him that he doesn't have to compete with me over everything to impress me anymore and that I never wanted to compete with him in the first place.  But, it didn't matter because it was the last...

Main Dishes
lengua in mushroon sauce
Lengua in Mushroon Sauce (145 php)
Kurt ordered the Lengua in Mushroon Sauce.  It's tenderness was impressive.  I found the it a bit salty but for Kurt it was just right.  He swiped his meal clean with glee.  He also took this excellent photo.

Cakes/Cheesecakes
lemon walnut torte
Lemon Walnut Torte Sliced (75 php)
The Lemon Walnut Torte was highly recommended by the tips on foursquare so I ordered it.  While I enjoyed the mix match of crunchy and chewy textures, I would have preferred if it had stronger lemon flavors and the sweetness be lightened because I have low sweetness tolerance.  But, if you have a sweet tooth, you'll surely love this.  This beautiful photo is compliments of Kurt as well.

mango cake
Mango Cake (80 php)
We really loved the Mango Cake.  Seeing me so jolly over this, Kurt was kindly insisted that I enjoy a generous portion.

Iced Coffee
iced mocha
Iced Mocha Regular (105 php)
Kurt had the Iced Mocha which was nutty with strong aroma.  It was a superb choice for coffee lovers!

Yogurt Smoothies
strawberry yogurt smoothie
Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie (110 php)
On the other hand, my Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie was a bit sweet.  I would have preferred a more tangy taste to make the yogurt more evident.  But, I enjoyed the creaminess.

Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Divine Sweets Bakery and Cafe is a great place to dine or enjoy some sweet treats.  The price is just right for the cozy atmosphere and reliable WiFi
