Sakae Sushi: Roller Sushi Experience at Robinson's Place

Since my family wanted to try roller sushi, we decided to dine at Sakae Sushi in Robinson's Place.  

I recall that it was around two years ago when we, Tsinoy Foodies, first tried Sakae Sushi in Mall of Asia  to experience roller sushi like the animes we watch.  Both of us are anime fanatics.

The ambiance is simple, clean and well lit.  The main attraction is its sushi conveyor belt going around the entire place.  The seats are quite cozy and strategically placed near the sushi roller.

 

We already know that its strategic to seat where the first sushi plates goes out. =p

Food

 

For drinks, you can choose either unlimited hot or cold green tea.  I prefer the cold green tea. =)

Miso Soup

They also serve a bowl of hot Miso Soup.

So, here's the sushi selections they could offer:


Blue Plate (39 php)

Yellow Plate (59 php)

I loved all the Yellow Plate selections.


Green Plate (79 php)

Mackarel

I love the Mackarel.  This is one of my favorite selections.


Red Plate (99 php)

 

The Red Plates are the most expensive dishes.  Notice that they serve not only sushi but also cooked selections.  On most of my experiences at Sakae Sushi, the Red Plates are the ones that are difficult to eat because of they are more in numbers, heavier to the stomach and the taste is also not too pleasing.  But, if you want to get your money's worth, you know that you should at least eat a  Red Plate when you avail of Sakae Sushi's all day sushi buffet .

The kinds of dishes they will release may dishes.  I also noticed that they will only replenish it once all plate of a kind runs out.  It's much better to eat during peak hours because the plates will be replenished with new variations more often.  If you want to try out more dishes, then its better to bring along a companion, you can share your plates with.  Otherwise, you'd end up stuffed with only a few plates eaten.  The fun in Sakae Sushi's all day sushi buffet is that you can challenge your munch mates to beat your colorful stack of sushi plates. =p  So how many plates have you tried? =D

Sakae Sushi is the only place in the Philippines that offers sushi served via conveyor plate.  You can eat ala cart style or avail of the all day sushi buffet.  The roller sushi is one of a kind experience that's worth a try.
