Go Greek!: Affordable Greek Dishes at Glorietta Food Choices
Glorietta, Palm Drive, Makati, Philippines
One our favorite sisterly bonding is watching movies. So one time, me and little sis reserved our tickets at Glorietta 4. Due to our tight schedule, we opted for a quick dinner at the Glorietta 4 Food Choices. That is actually our usual practice when confronted with a similar circumstance because the food options there are by far better than the usual mall food courts.
Having dined at Go Greek! before, I suggested that we eat there. It's a sister company of Cyma. But, the price here is cheaper although the choices are limited.
Being the elder sister, its customary that I'm the one to treat her so yes price was a consideration in the selection. =p But, I also assured that it would pass her high standards or she'll make endless parinig (remarks) until we reach home for sure.
So I let her choose what she wants.
So the dishes are mostly displayed and preheated or re-roasted prior to serving. We waited 10 minutes for our orders to be grilled. They adopt a self service style which is typical with food courts.
Food
Gyros
My sister chose the Chicken Gyros. She was quite pleased with the tenderness and tastiness of the slow-roasted chicken bits (said to be fillet). The pita bread is warm and soft too. But, we both agreed that the yogurt sauce is a little watery.
Greek Kebab
I, on the other hand, chose the Seafood Kebab. It was fish kebab with salates (salad), pita, hot sauce and yogurt sauce. I thought this is a more fulfilling and balanced meal than the gyros. The fish kebab was not dry too which I liked.
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Go Greek! is the most affordable Greek option you can find in the Metro. The quality is what you pay for though. Can't say that the ingredients are fresh but, at least the food is served hot.

I've heard a lot of raves for D' Cream Coffee & Tea affordable offerings so when while waiting for the family, my little sister and I decided to hang out there for a bit.
Their sign of brown and white is a little bit difficult to see during the night. Good thing we were familiar with their logo.
They adopt the usual pay as you order system. The staffs recommended the Golden Sun as their best seller. But, I ordered the Assam Original instead.
They have a chiller filled with cakes and cupcakes. The price is lower than the popular coffee shops.
It had plain white walls and cute sticker prints. There are only three tables available on the first floor but the second floor has lots of seats available and well-lighted too.
Drinks
I had my Assam Original at 25% sugar. Their milk tea is creamier than others. I could sense only a light hint of assam tea. What dominated it is a sweet taste of milk which I'm guessing is condensed milk.
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
D' Cream Coffee & Tea is an affordable option for those who prefer their drinks with a dominant sweeter and creamier side rather than aromatic coffee and tea taste. They also offer a reliable WiFi which makes it a good hang out place. Ambiance is simple but seats are well-cushion to provide comfort.

On summer days, I just can't keep myself away from cold treats. While we Tsinoy Foodies were roaming around SM Megamall, I spotted Mochi Creme which was a really cute cart in pink and green.
On some days, I'd inhibit myself a bit knowing my companion is not fond of frozen sweet treats. But, there are also times when my curiosity got the best of me. I did offer to treat him but he refused so I went on to order trying to hide my enthusiasm and excitement of course since I feel guilty that he's missing out on something awesome.
I'm so lucky that a lot of flavors were available. I noticed that the Azuki Red Bean has the least stocks so it must be the best-seller. On the other hand, the Black Sesame is almost untouched.
I couldn't help but smile with glee at the sight of its cute wrapper! I tried the Black Sesame because I've tried other versions of it and has always enjoyed it. Since its frozen, you have to allow a few minutes for the coating to soften and become chewy. I'd say the coating was pretty good in terms of consistency.
The mochi ice cream is bite-size so I decided to take small bites to make it last longer. It was delicious! The Black Sesame is filled with vanilla ice cream with black sesame bits. The sweetness is just right which is expected from Japanese ice cream. It kind of looked like cookies and cream but definitely tasted of roasted black sesame with some crunch too. My only concern is that it could have been more creamy.
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Mochi Creme is a great treat for the summer. It has ample amount of variety to choose from. I'm looking forward to try the Azuki Red Bean next. For the size and availability, the price is reasonable.
