During our Kapitolyo Christmas food trip, we got to try Mad Mark's Creamery & Good Eats.  But, only the ice cream. 

So when I saw it open in Glorietta 5 just beside Kichitora, I knew I had to complete the experience.

Our visit was a weekday afternoon so we're lucky there wasn't a long line by the counter. 

Compared to their first branch, this is more spacious.  They have tables on the outside too.  They get packed on weekends. 

For ice cream, they have the same chalk board menu.

Compared to the one in Kapitolyo, this branch has more flavor availability.

Food

Man Sandwiches

Mariner (180 php/Half)

The Mariner is a filled with fish fillet, lettuce, tomatoes and marine sauce.  I rarely go for sandwiches because I don't like the dryness but this one has awesome crunch, softness and sauciness that I couldn't stop digging in.

For the Mad Mark's Grill Works selection, there are three steps:

♥ Signature Steak Regular (200g) (285 php)

2 Side Dishes: Smashed Potato and Grilled Corn on the Cob (apparently off the cob)

I'm quite surprised with the price of their Signature Steak.  We had ours cooked medium and it was cooked perfectly so.  We enjoyed the oozing juiciness of our USDA Angus Striploin steak.  This is now on top of my list to go to for steak cravings while on a budget.  (Surpassing Bugsy's Siegel) I don't think any other mall establishment can offer a quality steak at the price they offer.   

Creolle Grilled Chicken (195 php)

The Creolle Grilled Chicken is a healthier option but as satisfying.  The chicken meat was tender and moist.

Ice Cream

♥ Apple Saigon Cinnamon (85 php/single scoop)

If you're a fan of apple pies like me, you'll surely fall in love with the Apple Saigon Cinnamon.  This is the best flavor at Mad Mark's for me!

Banoreo (150 php/double scoop)

Being an ultimate Oreo fan, I also enjoyed the Banoreo which is banana ice cream with Oreo bits.

Half-Baked Madagascar (150 php/double scoop)

The Half-Baked Madagascar was not mixed nicely so it had inconsistent texture... Surely, I'd love to give it a second try though.

♥ The Rolling Dutchman Ice Cream Sandwich (150 php)

The Rolling Dutchman Ice Cream Sandwich flavor that day was nutella and cookie butter with madagascar vanilla bean.  Wow!  It was really good!  The bread is warm and soft.  This makes the ordinary pandesal ice cream sandwiches seem like the lamest thing.  And, what better spread could there be then nutella and cookie butter right?  They complement the madagascar vanilla bean wonderfully.

Mad Mark's Creamery & Good Eats is a place I could dine at over and over.  The food is great and everything is unbelievably priced! 

Upon entry, I was welcomed by a gelato chiller and a macaron shelf alluring me to try them.  You'd notice that there are lots of names written on their wall too.  Every time you buy, ask the staffs to mark on your name so you can get a FREE cup on your 10th purchase. 

The second floor was divided into two parts.  One had a casual dinning set up while the other had cozy seats similar to that of a lounge or cafe.  For a fun bonding time, we preferred the cozy seats with small glassed tables that granted us a scenic view from the clear glass windows.

♥ Strawberry Ricotta Bruschetta (270 php/ 3 pcs.)

♥ Spinach and Bacon Provolone Quiche (180 php/slice)

I love quiches.  I used to love the ones in Alexandre but sadly it closed down so I had to settle the ones available in the nearby french bakeshop chains.  But, when I tried the Spinach and Bacon Provolone Quiche, I was impressed in terms of flavor and texture.  

Roquefort Broccoli Quiche (180 php/slice)

♥ Tomato and Basil Mozarella Quiche (180 php/slice)

Kurt enjoyed the Tomato and Basil Mozarella Quiche is filled with fresh tomato slices and basil with chewy mozarella.  

Quiche Lorraine (180 php/slice)

The Quiche Lorraine is one of the most popular variant.  It is has savory bacon, onions bits and the rich and slightly salty gruyere cheese.  They say anything with bacon is delicious.  Well, this is loaded with it!

Turkey and Brie with Cranberry Chutney (260 php)

The Turkey and Brie with Cranberry Chutney sandwich gained the approval of all my companions.  The lean and healthy turkey was enhanced by the brie and mildly sweet cranberry chutney.  

Honeyed Porkloine with Gouda Cheese (260 php)

The Honeyed Porkloine with Gouda Cheese is a simple yet refreshing option.  It has a thin slice of apple that caught me by surprise and I loved it.

♥ Peanut Butter and Jelly Macarons (50 php/pc)

The Peanut Butter and Jelly Macarons is now one of my favorite macarons.  Not only is it aesthetically appealing, it is a tasteful masterpiece as well.  It has a light thinly crisp shell followed by a mellow chewiness.  The peanut butter cream together with the jelly is a fun twist.  

Salted Caramel Macarons (50 php/pc)

I suppose the Salted Caramel Macarons were exposed to moisture for some time.  The shell is no longer crisp and it was too chewy.  But nevertheless, it had a light caramel filling with a hint of saltiness that's a great contrast to the sweet meringue.

Bar Dolci offers great food and delicious gelato to make your experience even sweeter.  I hope I get a chance to come back and try their other gelato flavors like the green tea and pistachio and their Frappelato which my friends were raving about.  Although their price is a bit on the expensive side, the food quality is superb.

Louie Luis Ice Cream Sandwich is worth the try!  Where else can you enjoy a delicious ice cream sandwich in the Metro?  It's quite affordable too.
