I can't believe that there's a Filipino restaurant that went under my foodie radar so I just had to check it out for myself. I was expecting a small humble restaurant but to my surprise it is a huge dining place in a heritage-like house with its own parking space. It is easy to find via Google maps or waze. It is located at 26 Scout Torillo Cor. Scout Fernandez, Brgy. Sacred Heart Quezon City.
Even more surprise is that it is owned by celebrity couple Romnick Sarmenta and Harlene Buatista. The couple has been very engaged with the direction of their restaurant in terms of addition new dishes which they learned from their travels, implementing new promos and activities for their guests such as the Luto ni Nanay - where guests can learn and cook their dishes, doing socio-civic activities such as donating 300 packed lunches to Hashtag Philippines through Antoneitte Taus and representing ARMM in Madrid Fusion.
Since the restaurant is family oriented, many parents would surely appreciate that they dedicate a generous amount of space for day care.
Food
I can't think of any place that have as extensive menu on the three parts of the Philippine archipelago as Salu. I found the concept to be superb! If only they could execute it well, this can be a huge hit right? So let's see...
The buffet didn't have any labels. But I really liked everything that was served especially this one with kamias.

Congratulations Salu on your first anniversary! I definitely hope to be back to let my mom experience the Luto ni Nanay. I'm also curious to see the actual portions of their dishes so till next visit.
