A few weeks ago, I was invited to join the Oishi Snacktacular 2016 to celebrate Oishi's 70th Anniversary.
I extended the invite via Instagram too.
Although this has become an annual event for Oishi, it was a first time for me so you can imagine my excitement! Being an avid gamer, I couldn't have expected a better theme. The event was graced by Team O Wow composed of the most popular love team Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Alex Gonzaga, Slater Young, and Ramon Bautista with Sam Purvor as host.
Upon registration, I was given my O-Pass. The O-Pass is basically a record of your scores from each booth and the highest scorer, will get this 4 feet Oishi Snack Bag as loot!
I first tried the Make Your Own Snack (20 php) which is the first booth I spotted.
I wanted to make something unique so I made a Wasabi and Nori Ridges and Potato Fries Combination. It's like a Japanese-American fusion snack.
I took this snack bag home and the family loved it!
The highlight of my first Oishi Snacktacular experience is the Snack Catcher (200 php). Before this, the nearest experience I have with a crane machine is watching the Toy Story Movie Scene where Buzz Lightyear and the Squeeze Toy aliens were trapped in it. But it was nothing like being a human crane. The experience was quick and intense. I think the only thing that dominated me during that time was my gluttony instinct to grab as much snacks as I can.
Berylle got a total of 69 snacks!
After an intense activity, we wanted to cool off. There was a lot of commotion with the Smart C+ Booth as Kathryn Bernado grabs her favorite Oishi Slush C+ Calamansi.
I followed her suit and chose that too over the Pomelo.
I also enjoyed the Cuckoo Blaster (100 php). I've played ping pong but catching ping pong balls in Cuckoo's cute costume is definitely more fun!
After burning some calories from the last booth, I had to regain them at the Oishi O-Twirl (20 php).
Remember Tetris?
You get to add-on two snacks as toppings. I didn't give much thought into it this time and settled for Chocolate Pillows and Ridges. It turned out to be surprisingly good.
The most in demand booth is the Snack Shack (295 php) where you have to fill up their 2 feet bag within 1 minute and you get to take it home too!
You can choose you're favorite snack design. Scores for this booth is based on the weight.
Some fans got to meet ad greet and take selfie as souvenirs.
While, I'm just happy for the whole experience! Can't wait for next year!
