If you're looking for a 60's diner ambiance that's serving great American breakfast meals, Mr. Jones is probably the first thing that pops into your mind.
It's retro vibes will definitely brighten up your morning.
The place is so colorful and lively.
Food
|
Bacon and Eggs |
The classic
Bacon and Eggs with a pair of eggs (any style you want), thick bacon slab, potato wedges, pancake balls and slices of oranges.
|
Jones' Famous U.S. Ribcap Tapa |
The
Jones' Famous U.S. Ribcap Tapa is served with a pair of eggs (any style you want), garlic rice, atchara, crispy fried garlic and atchara. The tapa bits are tender, savory and meaty, you'll surely chew for more.
|
Jones' Huevos Rancheros |
My favorite would be the
Jones' Huevos Rancheros. It's a dish with slow-cooked sirloin chunks, cumin scented black beans, roasted tomato, bell peppers, salsa fresca, American and jack cheese, two and sunny side-up eggs. It is served with fresh tortillas, lime, and a bottle of hot sauce. I just love to spice the day with something fiery in the morning. =)
|
Big Boy Fried Chicken & Waffles |
The
Big Boy Fried Chicken & Waffles is served with chicken stock gravy to complement the big fried chicken and whipped butter and maple syrup for the waffles.
|
Challah French Toast |
The
Challah French Toast is one of the most exquisite french toast variant I've tried. It is a french toast tower with nutella and raspberry. It is topped with caramelized with bananas and crispy bacon. It also comes with maple syrup, whipped cream or whipped butter.
Milk Shakes
|
Banana Cream Pie |
They say a visit at
Mr. Jones is not complete without an order of their famous milk shakes. At
Mr. Jones, every milk shake order comes with the refill in a stainless glass.
|
Banana Cream Pie |
I tried the
Banana Cream Pie which was a vanilla milk shake with banana bits and topped with cherry, graham bits, Cinnamon and nutmeg. It was pretty good. The consistency is not too thick and not diluted either.
Mr. Jones will be closed by September 30, 2014 because it will be moving to
Bonifacio High Street Central. Watch out for the opening of Mr. Jones Jr. by the end of the year! I can't wait to order some burgers and milk shakes as movie snacks. ;)
