Kenny Roger's Roasters: Imperial Roast Chicken

I usually take my time when eating so I rarely eat at fast food chains.  And, most of my favorites are those that serve chicken.   One of them is Kenny Roger's Roasters.   As I came in, I'm captivated by their ad where the Younghusband Brothers who are obviously British-Filipino wearing Chinese emperor robes as they pose next to a bountiful plate of the Imperial Roast Chicken.

♥ Imperial Roast Chicken (210 php)

The Imperial Roast Chicken meal includes the 1/4 Imperial Roast Chicken, Asian Twirl pasta, Asian Crab Rice, Tortilla Wraps with sliced carrots and cucumber and a Corn Muffin.  Eating the  Imperial Roast Chicken is like eating Peking Duck.  You slice as many chicken bits as you can, try to fit it in the tortilla wrap, add vegetables and glaze it with hoisin sauce then wrap.  It is an affordable alternative to the expensive Peking Duck.  It's an interesting dish to try.  The Asian Crab Rice and Asian Twirl pasta does not disappoint too.  And, I'm glad it comes with my favorite Corn Muffin.  However, I miss those days when their Corn Muffin was more generous with the corn kernels.  Now, you'd be lucky if you find two.  

♥ Solo A Meal

Deespite the contemporary twist, I still prefer the traditional meal though.  I like it juicy.  This is my default plate with macaroni and cheese side dish.  But price wise, the Imperial Roast Chicken meal is more bang for the buck.

Kenny Roger's Roasters serves roasted chicken that does not disappoint.  It's good that they continuously innovate new products.  In terms of price, it's a bit more pricey than other fast food chains.  Then again, none of them offers roast chicken like Kenny Roger's Roasters.  It would be wiser to dine here with company and avail of their group meals for more savings.
