The Glass Door: Dark Romantic Setting Dinner (Bonifacio Global City) (Closed)

There's a very luxurious and elegant looking dining place in Bonifacio Global City called The Glass Door.

Beyond the glass door is a very dark.  It only shed a few pinkish hue light.  Diners are very sophisticate, intimate and well-dressed.  There's a DJ for the musical background.

Food
Pardon my photos.  Truth is, I'm really shy so I didn't have the confidence of bringing out my camera and just took photos using my crappy phone.

Soup

Creamy Butternut Squash (185 php)
The Creamy Butternut Squash is delicious.  It was creamy and sweet so it fits most taste preference.

Minestrone (195 php)
The Minestrone was really zesty and tangy which I liked.

French Onion Soup (230 php)

I initially ordered the French Onion SoupIt was covered in gooey cheese so I thought I'd like it.  But, upon first spoonful, I was overwhelmed by the rich wine so I opted to have the Creamy Butternut Squash instead.

Appetizers

Salmon Tartare (280 php)
The Salmon Tartare is so good but also so little so it left us wanting for more so we splurged with more orders after thinking that the serving size is just as little.

Salad

Caesar Salad (280 php)
Homemade Pasta

Duck Confit (565 php)
The Duck Confit was too salty for me.  But, the pasta itself was very good.

Tartufo (360 php)
The Tartufo is really good with rich truffle essence.  But, not overwhelmingly so.

Beef... Poultry... Pork

Scallopine Marsala (420 php)
The Scallopine Marsala is so tender.  I was very impressed with it.

Callos (450 php)
The Callos was a huge let down.

Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
I find there's a mismatch with The Glass Door's ambiance and pricing with the food quality.  I liked the experience of a unique vibed.  But, I was overall disappointed.
