Soyami: My Guiltless Pleasure

I don't know about you.  But, I have always search for something to munch on all day long.  I first resorted to chewing gums but then it makes my stomach gassy.  My next resort was popcorn.  But, I still can't have it too often because of the salt.  I'm glad I discovered my guiltless pleasure with Soyami line of products during my visit at the food bazaar at World Trade last year.

Soyami is a Filipino owned company that develops food products using Soya and without using MSG so its healthier.  I was fortunate enough to be invited over to their bloggers night at Tourne.  I was introduced to their complete products including the new ones that I've never encountered before.

The Soyami Soya Chips White Cheddar was my preferred flavor.  Aside from the fact that it is rich in calcium, it had a delicious light cheddar flavor with a bit floury aftertaste.  It is as crunchy as the usual chips so its fun to munch.  It kind of reminds me of the Chinese wanton chips.

Another addictive snack is their Soya Styx Chili flavor.  I bet you can't even tell that its made from soya.  I can eat a whole pack alone in one seating.

I'm glad that we were given those Soya Puto Seko.  I love the usual Puto Seko!  But, Soyami's Soya Puto Seko is to crave for.  The texture was perfect.  It was so crunchy and the powder melts in your mouth.  It has this slight taste of soya that completes the taste of the whole thing.  It was really addicting.  I'm surely going to buy a lot of those when I see them available.

Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
We should support Soyami as being a leader in producing healthier snacks in the Philippines.  Their products are really innovative.  To be honest, I wasn't expecting much at first.  But, I was surprised that it was really good.
