After first encounter with Fruiteamix Greenhills, I told my family I' treat them there but its too far so we never had a chance to drop by. So when we heard that it opened a branch here in Malate, everyone was teasing me to treat them there. After our attending mass at Malate Church one Sunday afternoon, I decided to invite my family for a quick stop at Fruiteamix Malate.

Milk Tea
The Premium Milk Tea is the signature drink of Fruiteamix. We all loved its rich black tea taste. I highly recommend this! Their Coco Jelly has a nice texture to.
Fruitea
If you like the taste of sweet and sour then the Passion Fruit Green Tea is for you. I find it quite refreshing.
The Cranberry Black Tea is dominantly cranberry juice with a hint of black tea. Since I love the taste of cranberry, I enjoyed this drink a lot. Cranberries also a good source of vitamins.
I ordered the Milk Tea Smash Ice. But, I ended up disappointed. It is the same with Premium Milk Tea except that its bland because of the added crushed ice. They should have adjusted their tea concentration for this. I don't recommend ordering this. Not only does it taste less, it costs more too. If you're looking for milk tea with a crushed ice variant, I suggest you check out Jelly G.

When I first saw the sign of Taza de Oro Food Garden, I had the impression that it was a western cuisine. Good thing they added "Authentic Chinese Cuisine" at the bottom. It is a Chinese restaurant located at Madison Square in Greenhills.
Despite having eaten at traditional Chinese restaurants all my life, it is actually the first time I ate at one with the company of fellow foodies instead of family. As we sat on the big round table, I suddenly remembered my family.
Food
The best way to enjoy an authentic Chinese restaurant like this is to enjoy the meal lauriat style. We did that but we skipped the appetizers.

Taza De Oro Food Garden is an affordable Chinese restaurant serving your Chinese favorites and more! They also serve a whole cycle of meals: breakfast, lunch, merienda and dinner. If only it wasn't far from our place, I would love to bring my family here. My siblings will surely find their congee selections interesting.

Rai-Rai Ken is one my family's favorite causal Japanese restaurant chain. Whenever we are craving for a delicious bowl of ramen, we find it convenient that there are many Rai-Rai Ken branches available. One of the branch we most frequent is the Harrison Plaza branch. Regardless of which Rai-Rai Ken branch, their ramen quality has never failed us. I consider their multiple branch locations the key to their competitiveness. I can't think of other ramen house chains that can match Rai Rai Ken's reliable food quality. Is there? I also find Rai Rai Ken's pricing justified by their food quality and service.

Dampa or Seafood Market have been very popular in the Metro perhaps because it's a cheaper alternative to the usual restaurants. They have been sprouting like mushrooms everywhere. When in Libis Quezon City, you can check out Dampa Sa Libis Restaurant. If you're not familiar with the place, it could be tricky to find so I suggest you check the map at the bottom of this post.
Dampa Sa Libis Restaurant is a bit shabby. The set up is similar to food court equipped with electric fans. You can opt for the air-conditioned area but then you'd smell like seafood. If you're not comfortable with any of those then take out is your best choice.
There are a lot of restaurant options. I guess regulars have their own favorites.

After purchasing, the wet market will lead you to the weighing area and let you choose where you want it to be cooked.
The restaurants are friendly yet competitive with each other so pricing for their "paluto" (cooking requests) service is standard. Just select the cooking method you want per ingredient.

Overall, the food is pretty good. The experience is nice and the price is very affordable. A bit lacking on the ambiance though. But if you're too lazy to cook and are on a tight budget, this is one of the best considerations. You save more when in groups too. They also have a wide parking area.
