San Marino Tuna Recipes

When we're hungry and need a quick meal or snack, we usually hit our shelves for either canned goods or instant noodles giving it the same old taste.  Why couldn't we spend a few more minutes and try to experiment on canned tuna instead to make it somewhat a real meal?  There are numerous possibilities using canned tuna.

One of the healthiest canned food I could find is tuna.  The main benefit of eating tuna is its omega-3 fatty acid which helps in lowering the risk of heart disease, helps with arthritis pains, decrease asthma complications and tons of preventions (Alzheimer, Cardiovascular Disease, Cancer).  Did I already mention that fish is considered a brainfood for children?   

Now, you probably want to try out some of the dishes yourself so let me share some recipes.

San Marino Tuna Paella with Chili Prawns
Ingredients:
1 can San Marino Tuna Paella
1 tbsp Canola
1 cup of Thinly Sliced Onions
1 tbsp Crushed Garlic
1 tsp Grated Ginger
3 tsp Oregano
1 tsp Chopped Red Chillies (No Seeds)
6 pcs Medium Sized Prawns, Peeled and Deveined (add salt and pepper if preferred)
3 tbsp Coriander, Chopped
Juice of one lemon

Procedure:
  1. Using a large pan, heat the oil and stir fry onions, garlic, ginger for 4-5 mins. Add in the prawns, oregano, and chillies. Cook until the prawns turn pink and cooks through.
  2. Season with salt and pepper. Put in the coriander and lemon juice. Mix and remove from heat. Serve immediately on top of San Marino Tuna Paella.
San Marino Corned Tuna Italian Sandwich
Ingredients:
2 cans San Marino Corend Tuna (180g)
4 pcs Italian Bread or Baguette
1 1/2 cup of Bottled Italian Style Paste Sauce
1 Bottle Italian Dressing
1 pc Large Red Onions (Sliced)
1 pc Salad Tomato (Sliced)
1/2 Head of Lettuce
Fresh Basil
Parmesan Cheese
Mild Cheddar Cheese
Salt 
Pepper

Procedure:
  1. Combine San Marino Corned Tuna with Italian Pasta Sauce and Mix Well season with Salt and Pepper.
  2. Toss Red Onions, Lettuce, Fresh Basil,and Tomato with Italian Dressing then season with Salt and Pepper.
  3. Top with Cheese and Server.
